Funding Opportunities and Awards

The society is proud to support a range of activities in applied philosophy:

Event Funding of up to £3000. (Deadlines: 01 January, 01 May, 01 September.)

Doctoral Scholarships (up to £10,000 in year of award) – Awards are available to UK applicants and to applicants based in EU / EEA / EFTA countries.

Post-Doctoral Fellowships a one-year fellowship, worth £16,000 each, will be awarded each year to support post-doctoral research to be undertaken at a university in any country.

Research Trip support – financial assistance to enable those working in applied philosophy to pursue their research away from their home institution. (Deadlines: 01 January, 01 April, 01 July, 01 October.)

Teaching Relief funding for limited teaching relief to support the completion of a research project (e.g. a monograph or journal article, grant application). (Deadlines: 01 January, 01 April, 01 July, 01 October.)

Further Support The Society will also consider applications for other forms of research support not covered by the above schemes.
