Topic

Consent is standardly thought to demarcate permissible sexual interactions from sexual assault. But a growing number of recent scholars have emphasized the limits of an exclusive focus on consent in sexual ethics, and called for alternate frameworks for articulating and ameliorating elements of rape culture.

This conference will further explore and develop this direction in sexual ethics. It will connect scholarly philosophical work with the experience and perspectives of contemporary sex educators, providing opportunities for knowledge sharing across academic and applied contexts.
