Notes

  • Registration for the annual conference is a two step process — step 1 (provide delegate details below), step 2 (complete payment).
  • Postgraduate students presenting a paper at the event after 01 May can have Rate 2 registration fees waived. When step 1 is complete you will be transported to ‘step 2 — payment’. It is safe to close the browser at that point and ignore any request to complete step 2 (e.g. via email etc.). If accommodation is needed, it may be possible to book this at your own expense (c.£92 per night) using the link here.  
  • All other delegates must complete step 1 (delegate details) and step 2 (payment) to register for the event.
  • All registration must be completed by 11.59pm (GMT+01:00) Friday 31 May 2024.

Important

    • If you are making a registration on behalf of someone else, please provide the delegate’s full name and contact details (including email) in the delegate details section, and then add your own details in the appropriate section further below.
    • Please complete only one shopping cart per delegate.
    • Please indicate any diet or disability requirements
    • Registration rates do not include accommodation.  If you require accommodation, this can be booked at St. Anne’s using the link here (B&B at St Anne’s is c.£92 per night).  Please use code: PH36649 where requested. This will allow availability in connection with conference to be displayed for reservation.  (N.B. The promotional code should be inputted before selecting the arrival and departure date.)  Rooms have been set aside for the conference, but these will be subject to availability so please book early if you need accommodation at the venue.  In the event that there is no accommodation remaining at the venue, the following hotels close to the venue offer alternative accommodation (these details also appear on the next page ‘step 2 – payment’:
    • The Old Parsonage Hotel (in agreement with Oxford University, this hotel offers 10% discount from their best available rate on accommodation only. Join the Society

Membership of the Society is open to anyone interested in our aims, whether or not you hold a philosophical qualification or are employed as a professional philosopher.

Membership currently costs £26 per annum, or £14 for postgraduates.  This includes online access to the Journal of Applied Philosophy, as well as a reduced fee for the Society’s annual conference.   Members can also apply for event funding through the Society’s grant scheme.

Membership and journal subscription are handled by Wiley, as the publishers of the Journal of Applied Philosophy. The button will take you through to their website.
