Membership of the SAP is open to anyone interested in its aims, whether or not they hold a philosophical qualification or are employed as a professional philosopher. Membership currently costs £25 per annum (2008) and now includes four issues of the Journal of Applied Philosophy (individual non-members rate £70), as well as reduced fees at the Society's meetings and conferences. From time to time, members also enjoy discounts on special publications.

Postgraduate membership is now available at £12.50 per annum - full membership benefits apply.
